‘Porcelain Can Do Everything’ is the creative creed of Tatyana Chapurgina. Also it’s a name of her personal exhibition, unfolding in the halls of the Small Palace in Tsaritsyno. This intimate project encompasses a wide variety of porcelain items, including vases, panels, dresses made from ‘porcelain’ fabric, jewelry, and even a carpet.

The museum’s light and airy space becomes the perfect environment for art display. At the same time, the exposition design subtly complements them. Rounded walls, high windows, simple lines — nothing distracts from the artist’s delicate work.

Tatyana Chapurgina talks about her artwork: ‘I work in a special technique of underglaze painting on the smallest and finest porcelain layers. The vibrating surface of the layers is similar to the barely perceptible vibration of air and water. With the slightest change of light, these surfaces look different every time. The incredible width and versatility of this material appeals to me. For me, the interior is the space of art around.’
